Thrivent Choice Dollars to Allocate

Thrivent members should have recently received a letter stating—if they are eligible—how much they are eligible to designate and 3 easy steps to do it. You can visit Thrivent.com/choicedollars or call 1-800-847-4836 and say, “Thrivent Choice”. (This is not asking you to give a monetary gift. These are not “matching “ funds. This is simply you directing Thrivent to give money to a place that you choose.) Thrivent is no longer giving supplemental funds for any fundraisers, except when the recipient is a person/family (not our church or school), for medical needs or disaster assistance. These are big changes. This is your only chance to designate our church or  school to receive any money from Thrivent for 2010. There are, of course, other Lutheran organizations to choose from, including Lutheran Island Camp. Your deadline to get this done is March 31, 2011, but the sooner you choose, the sooner our church, school, or other Lutheran organization will benefit. Please call or go on-line as soon as possible to help distribute these funds. Lutheran organizations are counting on you! Any questions, see Shari Sorkness, your Thrivent Congregational  Advocate.

Encouraging Continued Support for Trinity School

The Church Council is currently acting as the Day School Board until a new board is in place. The Council unanimously encourages our members to support Trinity Lutheran School with your gifts and prayers. Please continue to bring in grocery receipts, milk caps, Campbell’s soup labels and box tops. The current preschool and kindergarten connect programs will be able to utilize the funds generated from these items. Our hope and prayer is that God will provide us with the children and resources to expand our school so that we may continue to offer the families of Trinity, Fergus Falls and the surrounding communities a quality Christian education. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
