Quilters

The quilters meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 1:00 PM in the church basement. Anyone is welcome to join us. No experience is necessary. We make quilts for Lutheran World Relief and the Orphan Grain Train, which is a Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod mission. When we send to World Relief, we don’t find out where our quilts go as a rule, but with the Grain Train they will usually tell us. Most of our quilts in 2005 went to the hurricane states. Our quilts have gone to Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Russia, Bosnia, Africa, and many other countries where there have been disasters or a need. We also keep several on hand for local needs. We use mostly donated materials, used sheets, jeans, sweatshirts, and many other materials.
