Join us on Sunday, April 8th at 6:00 am at the tomb on the corner of College Way and Cavour for an appearance of the angel at Jesus’ empty tomb. Following this reenactment, the sunrise Easter Celebration with Holy Communion will be in the sanctuary at 6:30 am and, again, at 9:00 am. He has risen!

ALL Women’s Retreat at LIC

Women come from around the state for the annual Women’s Retreat at Lutheran Island Camp (LIC). You will meet ladies from Duluth and Esko, St. Cloud, Alexandria, the Twin Cities, Fargo-Moorhead, and more. You are invited to join the women at LIC on April 13-15, 2012 for the Annual Women’s Retreat. This year the guest presenter will be Elaine Bickel. Her topic will be “Faith in the Midst of the Jungle.” You can choose to attend the retreat for the entire weekend or just for Saturday’s activities. The rate for the entire weekend is $99 and Saturday only is $69. Women’s retreat brochures including the weekend schedule and a registration form are located on the table near the bulletin board in the church narthex.

JOY Fellowship in April

“Joy” fellowship will be on Monday, April 16, 2012. Everyone 55 and older is invited to join us for the 11:30 am lunch followed by a power point presentation on Monarch butterflies by Helen Johansen. In the summer of 2011, she hatched Monarch butterflies. They were then taken to the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center to be tagged and released. Please join us for lunch and Helen’s presentation putting us in the mood for summer! Sign up on the yellow sheet in the kiosk center in the narthex. We would like dessert. If you are willing to bring a dessert to share, please sign up on the bottom of the yellow sheet. Thank you!

LWML April Meeting

The next LWML meeting will be on Thursday, April 19th at 7:00 pm. Pastor Deterding will be providing a Bible study entitled “The Heart of God’s Word” from the Spring 2006 Quarterly. Trinity Men’s NetWork LIC Retreat

Who am I? What am I doing here? These are big questions that eventually confront every man. Using what God has revealed, the study will provide honest and straight-forward answers to these twin questions. God does not leave us desolate, wondering who we are. The six segments of this study will explore what God has revealed about life’s biggest questions. The answers are waiting… God is ready to tell you not only who you are, but, also, what you’re doing here. ALL TRINITY MEN are invited to go to LUTHERAN ISLAND CAMP for a retreat on Friday, April 20th through Saturday, April 21st. Our retreat will start at 4:00 pm on Friday with a dinner at 5:00 pm in the Retreat House. We will enjoy Bible study, devotions, singing, free time to get to know each other, and time to explore LIC. The Men’s NetWork will pay the fee for the Retreat House. We will ask for $15 per person for Saturday’s breakfast and lunch at the LIC dining room. Bring gloves, hat, and work clothes to help with a service project on Saturday morning. Remember to also bring sleeping bag, blankets, pillow, towel, etc. Sign up on the red sheet in the kiosk in the narthex by Sunday, April 15th, so we can make the final arrangements with LIC. Special Adult Bible Class on Sunday, April 22nd

Come to adult Bible class on Sunday, April 22nd to hear Robert Lutz share stories and information about his mission work! Rob will be here to speak about “God’s Plan for Sudan” and give updates from his work in South Sudan, Africa. He will give a PowerPoint presentation that will feature the churches history and mission in Sudan, his ministry in Yambio, South Sudan, the new Concordia Lutheran Institute for Holy Ministry class of 20 seminarians who have just begun their studies, and the construction of the seminary’s first classroom. Rob is a teacher at Our Savior in Crookston, MN and will be going back to Sudan on May 26 with his father, Bernie Lutz, who is a missionary in the LCMS and also in Sudan. Please take the time to find out how God is using them in the mission fields of South Sudan, Africa!
