Well, a lot of us do and so do the children of Norway House. It was a huge hit at Family Night last year and we want to serve it again. Could you help us by contributing one or two bags of microwave popcorn that we can prepare that night? We would appreciate it and so will God’s children up north. Thank you so much for your help. – Ginny
“Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” The best defense against Satan’s attacks and the darkness of sin is the Word of God. You can help light the path for those who are hopeless and lost in northern Canada by placing a Bible into the hand of each child who attends Vacation Bible School in the three locations in Norway House and in Shamattawa, Manitoba. The LAMP volunteers will distribute Bibles and encourage the children and their families to read them every day. There is a donation can located on the LAMP display table in the narthex if you would like to help with the cost of these Bibles. Also, please remember the LAMP team as they prepare for the trip in July and that the Lord would prepare the hearts of the children to hear His Word as presented.
The LAMP volunteers will be a hosting a brunch on Sunday, June 19th following the 9:00 am worship service. The program will include a presentation by the 2010 LAMP participants and information about our upcoming mission trip to Norway House and Shamattawa in July 2011. There may also be additional “surprises” as well.
