Welcome to the Trinity Lutheran Church and School website! If you’ve never been here before, please take time to peruse our website to discover a little something about who we are here as God’s people in Fergus Falls.

If you have been here at our website before, or you have visited our church and would like to know how you can become a member, then allow me to share with you about why and how we have become members of this place.

God’s Word, the Bible stresses the importance of teaching and learning His Word so that we might know and believe the truth that His Son Jesus is that Savior of the world and desires all people to be saved. Those who believe and confess that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior from sin, death and the power of the devil will receive without cost life eternal in heaven. The Bible also teaches us about the will of God for us as we live in this world. He desires that we respond to His love for us in Jesus Christ seeking to live a new life according to good and perfect will.

Through the work and power of the Holy Spirit one becomes a child of God through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Those who have come to faith in Jesus will immediately desire to follow our Lord’s command to be baptized. We also believe that Jesus has commanded us to bring babies to be baptized. Through baptism, God works through the Holy Spirit to enlighten us and keep us in the one true faith. This is how we first become a member of the Christian church.

There is a ten weeks instruction series for older teens and adults that instructs one in the basic teachings and beliefs of what we believe and confess about God’s Word. If you complete this series and believe that you can confirm in your heart that you believe these teachings, then you will be invited to confirm your faith before the congregation. At that point you will become a member and are invited to share in the Lord’s Supper as a member.

There is also a church history class available for public and home-schooled children in grades 5 and 6 and a confirmation instruction class for children in grades 7 and 8.
